The Sales Lead is responsible for driving revenue growth through the proactive sale of merchandise and promotional products to new and existing clients.This role combines hands-on selling with pipeline development, client relationship management, and coordination with internal teams to deliver effective,on-brand promotional solutions that meet client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
·Sales & Revenue Generation
·Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities for merchandise and promotional products
·Manage the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation and prospecting through to closing and post-sale follow-up
·Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed revenue targets
·Upsell and cross-sell products to existing clients to maximize account value
·Client Relationship Management
·Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships based on trust and consultative selling
·Understand client branding, marketing, and promotional objectives to recommend appropriate merchandise solutions
·Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations tailored to client needs
·Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
·Product & Market Expertise
·Maintain in-depth knowledge of merchandise and promotional product ranges, including materials, branding methods, lead times, and pricing
·Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging promotional product innovations
·Advise clients on product suitability, compliance, sustainability options, and budget considerations
·Internal Collaboration & Delivery
·Liaise with operations, design, sourcing, and production teams to ensure accurate order execution and on-time delivery
·Provide clear and detailed sales briefs to internal stakeholders
·Resolve client issues or objections efficiently and professionally
·Reporting & Administration
·Accurately maintain CRM records, including pipeline activity, forecasts, and client communications
·Produce regular sales reports and forecasts as required
·Ensure all sales activity complies with company policies, pricing guidelines, and contractual terms
What are we looking for?
Essential
·Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within merchandise,promotional products, print, branding, or a related industry
·Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
·Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
·Consultative selling mindset with strong commercial acumen
·Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-pacedenvironment
Desirable
·Experience selling B2B promotional merchandise or branded products
·Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
·Understanding of branding, marketing campaigns, and promotionalstrategies

Qualifications & Experience
·Relevant sales or commercial qualification preferred but not essential
·Minimum 10 years of sales experience (to be defined by the organization)
